WHAT WE DO
We are invested in the success of our public education system, and we will not lose sight of that focus. We believe that strong relationships affect change at a scale that’s only possible when working collectively to develop pragmatic and impactful solutions for action at a scale that matches our region’s needs and opportunities.
OUR PILOTS AND INITIATIVES
We define system level improvement as work that impacts an entire district or multiple districts.
Through the Tarrant County Future Educators (TCFE) program, we steer local students toward teaching careers and help address teacher shortages. We also support districts with Alternative Certification and Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) expansion. In the first year, we helped three districts secure about $6M in extra funding, including $500K for Everman ISD’s distinguished teachers.
DRIVING IMPROVEMENT IN AN EFFECTIVE EDUCATOR WORKFORCE
Our efforts to drive improvement in Pre-K center around our Go Early Go Forward campaign.11 Tarrant County ISDs and Community based child care providers co-developed the Go Early Go Forward campaign to share the value of public Pre-K and early learning settings.
DRIVING IMPROVEMENT IN PRE-K ENROLLMENT
Our focus on early math and literacy improvement centers around the Extended Learning Collaborative (ELC), a network of 30+ community partners offering after-school and summer programs for Pre-K to 6th grade students at nearly 250 sites in Tarrant County. The ELC helps integrate effective literacy practices, monitor progress, and foster continuous improvement.
DRIVING IMPROVEMENT IN EARLY MATH AND LITERACY
We developed the “Support for Survival Framework” with CTE directors and teachers to tackle job frustration and high turnover among CTE educators. This regional induction program will enhance training, professional culture, and effectiveness, boosting teacher retention and student outcomes. It will launch in Fall 2024.
